One week of National Convivenza of the Italian Group is being lived in Orvieto with the title: "It was Peter who answered: 'Lord,' he said, 'if it is you, tell me to come to you across the water'. Jesus said: 'Come'" (Mt 14: 28-29).
Orvieto,1 August 2010. To "inspire" in the hearts of the man the "river ford" of an epocal transition to arrive at the future of God and of a new humanity; this is the "source theme" mentioned by Fr. Gino Moro, old General Director and now President of the Foundation Better World, a theme that can constitute an idea-force able to generate new visions, new perceptions on the present history of the world and new perspectives of the action of the Church in this time of epocal transition.
The "river ford" is the space of epocal passage that is occurring in this generation, involving the whole humanity, in the great phenomena of the world-wide economy and in the sociocultural processes, and above all in the deep of human consciousnesses, that have deeply changed and, more than that, changed... for ever.
To "inspire" the "river ford" for the man of our times means to accept the great journey towards the future whose accomplishment is trusted in the hands of the man, in the faith in which God shows the ways of the humanity and brings her to salvation.
To "inspire" the "river ford" for the Italian Group of the Movement for a Better World means to read with a prophetic glance the signs of the times and to look for the direction where the wind of the Spirit is guiding the Group, and to please this divine action assuming the "river ford", that is to say the "transition" as such, not as a planetary catastrophe but as a new, great occasion that appears for his mission.
In the web page of the Italian Group you will find some videos with Fr. Gino's speeches and other news on the convivenza (to go to the page click here).
