Shaping the future faithful to God’s gift

Lord, you have given us as a symbol “a crucifix blown by the wind”. You call us to the difficult mission of serving the constant renewal of Church and society in a time of weariness and regression. We seem to be “suspended over a void” sustained only by the awareness that your gift enables us to fulfil our mission with creative fidelity. Grant us consolation in our trials and tribulations and the strength to bear them in communion with you and in solidarity as Group. Creative Spirit, help us to live the Cenacle as an event of communication!

Lord, you have brought us together from the “blood circulating in the Church”, brothers and sisters from different situations and cultures. We were born to stay close to the total Jesus, like Mary, to promote movement, to awaken an impulse, to introduce a constant ferment of conversion. Make us faithful listeners to what your Spirit is saying to the Churches and to society, and creative servants of communitarian animation. Creative Spirit, help us to live the Cenacle as an ecclesial event!   

Lord, you wanted our function to be a permanent one, lived in the provisionality of persons, proposals and strategies. You call us not only to produce movement but also to recreate unceasingly the Group so that it might be in continual growth and change. As we look to the centenary of Fr. Lombardi’s birth, may we know how to discern the paths of the future for a season of fruitfulness, for your glory and for the good of the human family. Creative Spirit, help us to live the Cenacle as an event of salvation!
