As the creativity of the Group increased, we felt the need to spell out the criteria to which all our apostolic activities should be subjected if they were to be considered activities of the Group.

This was done in the 1979 Cenacle. In a process of community discernment, taking into account the situation of the world and of the church, the Group defined five apostolic options or decisions. Then, in 1991, faced with the profound change that had taken place in society, we examined and re-affirmed the validity of the options but renewed some of the formuation of them. 

Hence our apostolic activities must serve: the Reign of God, the constant renewal of the Church, the poor and the promotion of justice, participation and liberation.
