IThe theme of this retreat would be of interest of all those who, in the name of the Church, carry out a ministry in the Christian community. The retreat offers the opportunity for reflection, prayer and communication on the relation between spirituality, ministries and planning. Since to live a spirituality means to grow in a “unity of life”, the purpose of the retreat is to deepen our appreciation of the essential connection between these three elements, though they are often seen and understood as separated entities. Though this is of interest to all the pastoral workers, it is of particular and vital interest to the Bishop, Priests and Deacons. It is they who have the ministry of synthesis-unity. It is their special concern that their giving of themselves be the fruit of their spirituality and that the exercise of their ministry be expression of this gift of self.
